Is It Normal For Periods To Get Delayed After Stopping Birth Control Pills?

I'm really scared I may be pregnant. I'm on my 39th day of my cycle but my period is usually fairly irregular. I had been on the pill however for little over a week but had to stop because of the nausea it was causing me. After stopping the pill around a month ago I had my period for 10 days. Is it normal for a period to be delayed after stopping the pill? I don't even know if I had been taking it for long enough to have that effect. I have been experiencing swollen but not sore breasts, bloating and white discharge.

Hi,

After stopping the pill you had your regular period in that cycle. Now the next cycle is prolonged. If suspecting pregnancy it is better to get your urine checked. Hormonal issues can delay your periods, but need to rule out pregnancy first.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
