Is It Normal For The Eye Pupil To Be Dilated After A Pars Plantar Vitrectomy?
I just had a pars plantar vitrectomy 72 hours ago. Laser and gas bubble instillation were used. I am taking combigan, zymar and prednisolone eye drops post procedure. My concern is the operative eye pupil is quite dilated. Is this normal because of the procedure and the gas bubble?
Hello It seems from the history that you have underwent pars plana vitrectomy and you are on treatment with combigan, zymar and prednisonolone and having a dilated pupil. It is quite normal to except a dilated pupil after 3 days of pars plana vitrectomy and it will come back to normal position, hence no need to worry regarding the size of pupil.
Thank you
