Is It Normal For The Leakage Of Urine Having A Mesh Sling Put On?

I had a mesh sling put in to help with urinary incontinence, I am 3 weeks post op and I still leak quite a bit of urine when I sneeze or cough, Is this normal....I also notice that I still have to wear a panty liner because I am still wet all the time, could this be because my labia is larger and could be holding urine?

Dear-thanks for using our service . I read your question in detail and will help you with my advise. You can have some leak after the procedure but it should get better after 6 weeks of surgery. If you still with leaking after 6 weeks, you may need a reevaluation from your surgeon to make sure that the mesh sling is in the correct position. Sometimes the bladder prolapse was too big and was hard to control the leakage 100 % with the mesh.I hope that my advise has been helpful.
