Is It Normal If Having A Movement Like Feeling Of The Cup Inserted After LAVH Hysterectomy?
pain in cervical area i had a lavh hysterectomy a year ago and my doc told me he put some kind of cup inside me after removed my cervic and after the surgery i had alot of cramps and pain. but now i think i feel the thing inside move once a while. is this normal?
Usually during Laparoscopic assisted vaginal hysterectomy, instrument to hold the cervix will be used and that will be removed after removal of uterus.
At the end of the surgery vault or vaginal cuff means the upper portion of the vagina will be sutured.
So, your doctor might have told regarding this. There may not be any cup inside as per my knowledge is concerned.
Some amount of pain and cramps are common after undergoing major surgery and usually that will subside soon after a few days.
If the symptoms persist and if you are still having a doubt regarding cup, better to consult your doctor once and go for clinical examination and ultrasound.
With this work-up your doubt can get clarified and possible cause of the problem can be identified and treated.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
