It is not considered normal to have any bleeding in early pregnancy. However, it does happen pretty often even in normal pregnancies. Generally, if it resolves and everything looks fine on the ultrasound, there is usually nothing to worry about and the pregnancy will be fine. However, if the bleeding should continue or get very heavy, or if you have severe cramping and pain, you should call your doctor.
