Is It Normal To Experience Vaginal Bleeding After Taking An Emergency Contraceptive Pill?

I had sex the day after my period ended, we did use a condom, however to be safe I took an emergency contraceptive pill or a plan b pill. it has been a week since I took the pill and It seems as if I have gotten my period again even though I'm not supposed to have my period until the end of the month. Is this normal?

Hi,

If the bleeding is light and not more than a day or two, it is considered to be normal. In case bleeding is heavy and more than three days, also the bleeding falls in non period days if can be the medical concern. If your symptoms fall in second category, you need to visit a gynecologist for further management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
