Is It Normal To Have A Bump On 9 Weeks Pregnancy? Are My Results Normal?
Im 9 weeks pregnant and have a bump already. I didnt think this was normal, and this is my third child. Im always tired an genrally unwell, but everything else seems normal. My notes from early pregnancy unit at 6 weeks say, enlarged antverted uterus containing a single intrauterine gestation sac with a yolk sac and fetal pole. Is this normal?
Hi, Thanks for the query. Usually uterus will become abdominal organ at around12 weeks of pregnancy. That time it can be palpable per abdomen. For more details : http://srsree.blogspot.in/2013/12/physiological-adaptations-in-pregnancy . html
By 9 weeks, uterus usually will not palpable abdominally. In rare cases like molar pregnancy, twin gestation etc, uterus may be palpable in early weeks. Generally abdominal fat will be misinterpreted as uterus. Your 6th week ultrasound findings are normal. You can go for review scan once to clarity the doubts. Take care.
