Hi i am experiencing something very odd a few months ago I pulled out a tooth the tooth was starting to come out and I hadn t pulled out the tooth yet so I was late after a few months (today) I was washing the dishes and I felt like there was string of strawberry so I tried taking it out but it seemed to be my gum I checked the mirror and it was a string of my gum hanging in between the teeth that was growing I m worried because this is very odd there is string of my gum hanging between my teeth
This may be due to overgrowth of soft tissue during healing or dentist might not have handled the flap properly during extraction of tooth. It can also be due to some infection in which the gum swells between teeth. First of all you need to do mouth wash Chlorhexidine for 5 to 7 days and observe whether the area returns to normal.
In case there is some infection, then it will heal by simple mouth wash. However, if it doesn't heals then you may require physical examination by a qualified dentist and accordingly it can be addressed and managed properly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
