I have my last check up to my OB doc last Dec.10 ,2013 and she said.. the baby is already matured on December this coming Dec.30.. is that normal? Because the first day of my last minstration is April 17. And my expected date is on January 23. Please I need your help. Tnx!

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
On 30th December, it will be 37 weeks of pregnancy which is considered term.
The period for lung maturity of the baby is satisfactory at this gestation and if your gynecologist has taken this decision of terminating the pregnancy by 30th due to some reason, it is okay and your baby will be safe and will probably not require any extra or intensive care.
