Is It Normal To Have Drastic Changes In Vision In One Year?

On 4/14/11 my (then 9 year old) son had an eye exam showing OD -1.75/OS - 1.75.

After noticing his constant squinting we had a new exam today. He is now 10 years old. The prescription now says sph OD -2.75 and
sph OS -3.00 / Cyl +50 /axis 060
Seems like a drastic change. Is this normal?

Change of power in one year is quite normal. If you think the change is more then you can have second opinion. Your child should accept the best option in which there is maximum clarity
