Is It Normal To Have Feeling Of Fullness In Stomach And Pain After A Small Meal After An Episode Of Food Poisoning Around Three Weeks Ago?

I had food poisoning three weeks ago. Now every time I eat a small meal, I feel like I've eaten a six course meal and my stomach hurts where I have to lay on my back. It feels like I ate a thanksgiving meal. It's do uncomfortable that I can't sleep. Is that normal?

Hello,

No this might not be the normal symptoms but it could be due to digestive dysfunction. Lots of the time it might be due to some infection and protozoa may be the cause. If I would be the doctor in this case, then I would try with single dose of Secnidazole with advice to have light diet and divide the meal in some part. Avoid fatty food, high calorie diet and eat more leafy vegetables.

Hope I have answered your query,
