Is It Normal To Have Hair Loss While Having High Prolactin?

Hi there, I ve recently been diagnosed with high prolactin, all the front of my hair has thin out to where it looks like I m going bald, is this common ? And what s the likely hood of my Hair growing back. And could it be possible that drinking my protein shakes could of contributed to this, I m female have been good health all my life, so will it take long for me to get back to feeling like my old self?

Thanks for writing to HCM

High prolactin might be implicated for hair loss but other causes has to be ruled out. Regarding protein drink I don't think it is going to have any harmful affect so long your kidney function is normal and you are taking the quantity of protein that is required as per your body weight and activity level.
