Is It Normal To Have Headache, Lightheadedness, And Dizzy Spells After A PRK Surgery?
I had PRK surgery done on only one eye approx 5 1/2 weeks ago. I am now beginning to feel headaches, lightheadedness, and dizzy spells. I am also noticing the eye that was surgically repaired, the pupil is a full 1mm bigger. Is this normal? Is it related to the corticosteroid drops I am taking.
Hello It seems from the history that you are having headache, light headedness and dizzy spells after PRK surgery. PRK surgery will not cause dizzy spells but it can cause headache because of inflammation induced by surgery. Hence I advice you to consult your doctor to look for inflammation caused by the surgery and treatment accordingly. The cause for dizziness needs to be evaluated as PRK surgery will not cause dizziness.
Thank you
