Is It Normal To Have High BP Readings In My Right Arm And Slightly Elevated BP Readings In My Left Arm?

I have been monitoring my bp mostly on my right arm. It was 190/94 on my right and on my left 159/84. Is that normal? My doctor took me off of triamterne and raised my lisiniprol to 40mg (2 in am and 2 in pm) it’s been high for the past 3 weeks. I’ve been told to wait it out to see if it goes down but it hasn’t. I’m concerned.

Hello,

Your blood pressure values are really high and this means that your current therapy is not very effective. For this reason, I agree with your doctor on the decision of increasing the doses. You should wait at least one week to see if these changes are effective. If your blood pressure values do not drop after a week, I recommend consulting again with your doctor for further changes to your therapy.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
