Is It Normal To Have Itching On The Areas Where The Derma Roll Was Used?
Hello, doctor,I used the derma roller 2 days ago and started itching the following day on my stomach, thighs and waist where I derma rolled. Is this normal? Though today I noticed the rash-like look has reduced a lot. I used a 1.0 roller. I m awaiting ur reply, tanx
Though some amount of redness is normal after dermaroller but it seems that you might have done it a bit more aggressively this time which might have caused this rash. It can sometimes happen if it is done with excess pressure OR if the needle size is increased.
If i was your treating doctor i would have asked you to apply a soothing lotion OR moisturizer twice daily for 2-3 days to make it fine.
An oral antihistamine like cetrizine once daily will control the itching part.
take care regards
