Is It Normal To Have Menstrual Bleeding For More Than 3 Days?
my period lasted 3 days. (which is highly unusual.) then directly after, i got black discharge. black turned to brown a few days later. then it was like water was pouring out of my uterus. i needed to wear a pad, because it was soaking through my pads. it didnt stop for 3 days. then, dark brown/red discharge began, now a watery red is happening. is that my period? after a week? i need to know what is wrong with my vagina.
I've gone through your query. I can understand your anxiety.
Getting menstrual flow for 3days is normal. But if there is heavy blood flow with unusually large CLOTS, it may be due to hormonal changes, Fibroids, Endometriosis & other conditions.
Fresh red coloured blood, when comes in contact with air become brown Color, which is normal. I advice you to, - assess the flow of blood by counting the no.of pads your are changing per day. If it's morethan normal, you need consult a gynaecologist for further assistance. - Take tab. Mefenamic acid thrice daily. - Take plenty of fluids. - take iron & calcium supplements.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Get well soon.
