Hello,
A proper dietary control along with shedding of weight and doing regular aerobic exercises are the mainstay of treatment at the moment as suggested by your doctor.Meications are added if these lifestyle changes fail to stop the progression into frank diabetes.
Tingling in arms can be due to lack of VIT B12 and a proper replacement may bring you relief.
Do take VIT D in addition.
Stop smoking and moderate your alcohol intake.
Thanks
