Is It Normal To Have Vaginal Bleeding After Having Total Hysterectomy?
yes i just had a total hysterectomy robtic. i had a 9cm fibroid tummor removed throught the birth cannal. the doctor who did this tore me but he didn t relazie how big it was. my question is it normal to have bledding? its not heavy but light about a tablespoon amount.
It is not uncommon to bleed after hysterectomy for a few days until the stitches heal. In most cases the bleeding stops by 15-20 days. There may be a slight discharge from the vaginal vault area for a few days and then it also stops. If it has been more than a month after surgery and you are still bleeding then it is better to see your doctor to look for the cause. A granuloma [ small tumor due to reaction to the suture] may sometimes form and ooze blood.
Please see your doctor and get evaluated for the same.
