Lupride injection or shot contains leoprolide that is used to treat uterine fibroids, endometriosis, painful, heavy or irregular periods and central precocious puberty. It is also used to treat prostate cancer. When this medication is used, it is normal that the menstrual cycles may stop or decrease to scanty bleeding. Menstrual cycles will become regular within 3 months after treatment with Lupride is stopped.
Lupride is used to reduce the estrogen produced by the ovaries. It is used in the treatment of uterine fibroids and endometriosis. After injecting, this medication is slowly released over 1-3 months. It may stop ovulation as well as monthly menstrual cycles. You should consult your doctor first if you want to stop taking this medication. Don't start or stop taking any medication without informing your doctor first.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
