Is It Ok To Exercise With Lump In Knee?

I have a bump on my knee but it does not hurt at all. It is not hard and seems to be fluid filled. It is the size of a baseball. I am a 16 year old girl and I am very active but this past week I have been taking it easy. Could that have anything to do with it? It doesn't bother me at all, so can I still exercise?

Hi. I suggest before you start exercising get the lump evaluated by your Doctor. It could be a cyst or Synovial effusion which is a fluid collection inside the knee joint. It is definitely safer to be sure of what it is before proceeding with activity. Do let us know if you need advice even after getting it checked up. Take care.
