Is It Ok To Travel By Train In The Second Trimester?
HELLO DR. I M 31 YRS OLD N NOW I HAV COMPLETED MY FIRST TIMESTER. MY WEIGHT IS 70 KG N NOW IN THE FIRST WEEK OF OCTOBER I WANT TO TRAVEL TO MY NATIVE PLACE. MY DUE DATE IS ON 28 FEB IS IT SAFE FOR ME TO TRAVELL BY TRAIN TO MY NATIVE PLACE THAT IS TO M.P. FROM KERELA N IT WILL TAKE ABOUT TWO DAYS.
It seems that you have to travel a very long distance and also the travel duration is also long.
Travel is safer during the second trimester between 16-18 weeks as the chances of complications are least during that period.
So see your doctor and start drugs like progesterone and if needed isoxsuprine before the travel date and try to travel by an aeroplane if possible as it will decrease the travel time and ensure better safety. Take care and have a happy and safe journey. Hope this satisfies your query. Thanks for using HCM. Feel free to ask any more questions that you may have.
