Is It Ok To Vomit After Taking Augmentin For A Swollen Lymphnode In Throat ?
Hi. My four year old son was prescribed 1.5 tspn augmentin, 2x/day for a swollen lymphnode in his throat. I gave him his first dose this morning as he was eating his breakfast, and an hour later he became nauseous and 2 hours later he vomited. Did the med absorb? Is the dose too high? I'm afraid to give it to him tonight before bed if he's going to vomit again while asleep? Is this common? Thank you.
Hi, the dose is correct and you need not to repeat dose if there is vomiting after 2 hrs as the drug has been absorbed. You can do one thing that instead of giving 1 and half teaspoon twice a day, give 1 teaspoon thrice a day. This will solve your problem. Take care.
