Is It Possible Of No Dilation Even If Baby's Head Was Felt In Cervix?

On August 16, I was 33 weeks and 6 days pregnant and went to my doctor for my prenatal appointment and started having contractions. My doctor said that I was a fingertip. I was sent to the hospital to get fluids to stop the contractions. Today on August 30, I went for my prenatal visit and seen the doctor and I told her that I was having pressure in my lower stomach and she checked my cervix and said that she felt the baby's head but no dilation. How is that possible?

That is possible. The best approach to witness cervical dilation/effacement is measure of the cervix using endovaginal ultrasound. But then again since you were 34 weeks in august your baby was born and is at least 6 Months old
