Is It Possible That Taking Omeprazole Could Cause Geographic Tongue?
Hello, I have been taking Omeprazole for a few years now, shortly thereafter I began experiencing tongue ulcers and/or geographic tongue. I have read a correlation between omeprazole potentially increasing your risk of vitamin b deficiency and I have also found correlation between vitamin b deficiency causing geographic tongue. Is it possible that taking omeprazole could cause geographic tongue?
Hi, thanks for your query. Yes omeprazole can cause geographic tongue taken for more than 6 months. Iwould suggest u to take multivitamin supplement for 3 months daily. Avoid depending on the drugs. Hope my answers have helped you. Thanks.
