Is It Possible To Burn A Swollen Throat With Spicy Hot Wings?
Is it possible to burn a swollen throat with spicy hot wings? Woke up with white patches on tonsils and uvula and I have had a sore throat for a few days before eating the spicy wings without having white patches. Unsure if I have a burnt throat lesions or if I have strep throat now.
I read your query carefully.. according to the details you were having sore throat already..and it aggravated after you took spicy hot wings. White patches show that it is infected now..
- Take Diphenhydramine + Dextromethorphan for cough. - I would start you on amoxicilin/clavulanic acid 625mg thrice a day for 7 days. (It is a prescription medicine so you need to visit nearest doctor to get it) - Take acetaminophen for pain & fever
- Take hot water in a cup, add 1 table spoon salt in it. Perform gargles (mouth wash) with it three times a day for at least 3 days. It will give soothing effect.
AVOID: > Chilled water > Drinks > Spicy food If condition remains constant after 3-5 days consult your ENT specialist. Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. Wishing you good health.
