Is It Possible To Conceive After Cleaning Out Of The Tubes?

Hi there, my husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for nearly a year. I am now on my 3rd round of clomid and getting frustrated. My sister in law says she got pregnant after a year of trying after her "tubes" were cleaned out. What does this mean and what does it do? Does it hurt?

Hi I think your sister in law has undergone a laparoscopy operation. The cleaning of tubes means if any block was there in the tubes cannulation was done. It is a procedure where anaesthesia is given so it doesn't hurt. But in your case I think before laparoscopy you can go for a HSG that is a tubal patency test. It is simpler than a laparoscopy and will tell you regarding your tubes. You can try IUI after HSG if your tubes are OK. Hope I have answered your question.
