Is It Possible To Contract HIV From A Hair Brush?

I recently had a shave at a barbershop with my clipper. There was a cut and visible blood on my chin. The barber used a hair brush to clean my chin after the shave and in the process wiped off the blood with the hair brush. Is it possible to get hiv from the brush if it was earlier used on an infected person? Thanks.

Infectious Diseases Specialist 's  Response
Hello ,
I understand your concern. I am Dr. Arun Tank, infectious disease specialist, answering your concern.

It wont transfer HIV to you.

HIV wont live outside the atmosphere without human CD4 Blood cells.

As even if brush is used on previous person it is possibly didn't have any blood on it.

Even if blood is there there must be a delay of at least half an hour, so HIV transmission is not possible.

Be tension free regarding HIV.

Glad to answer your further concern.
We wish you a best health at healthcare magic.
Thank you,
Dr. Arun Tank
