Is It Possible To Get Pregnant By Protected Sex Despite Being On Nordette Pill?
My girlfriend and I had unprotected sex on unsafe days and took nordette more than 5 days after intercourse. She hasn t had her period. She takes nordette monthly and gets her period 7 days after. It s the 11th day and she hasn t had her period. We had sex last night and she was bleeding which seemed like her period, but then the bleeding stopped this morning. What does this mean? We are very confused and scared. Please help up

Nordette is the medicine that prevents pregnancy if it is taken in a 21 day course on the same day everyday for 21 days. After finishing the course, she gets menstruation in 7 days, which are safe to have unprotected sex. So, if you had unprotected sex during unsafe days then there is the possibility of pregnancy.
The bleeding that she had after your recent sexual intercourse could be the implantation bleeding, bleeding that occurs after conceiving.
I would advise you to take a home pregnancy test. The test kit is available over the counter in all medical stores. Instructions to take the test are given on the pack. Your partner has to urinate on the indicator area of the stick and wait for 5-10 minutes for (+) or (-) sign indicating positive or negative pregnancy, respectively.
If the test comes negative, she may need to see the gynecologist to rule out the cause of delayed/absent menstruation.
