Is It Possible To Get Tonsillitis Even After Tonsil Removal?
Had chronic tonsillitis for over 40 yrs Finally had them out 8 month ago and Just came down with inflamed and throbbing right tonsil bed. Feels like tonsillitis Again ? Is this possible. Sixty with RA In remission and slightly high blood sugar other than that in good health.
Even after removal of tonsilitis in the oral cavity little adenoids tissue may present and chances to it may get infection. it is called waldeyers ring. So immuno-compromised patients may easily develop pharyngitis. Use salt water gargling thrice a day for five days. Use tablet amoxicillin and clavulinic acid 625 mg twice a day for five days. If symptoms not improved please consult with your ENT specialist he will examine and treat you accordingly.
