Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello i was having un protected sex last week , and i would like to be sure that i have no infection of any STD only a very small ulcer appeared at the back of my upper lip inside my mouth and it hurts if touched it is less than 0.5 cm and im worried if it is from the sex
Surely, unsafe sex should be looked for any cause of STD that is sexually transmitted diseases. As per the details of oral ulcer less than 5 mm, painful, at the back of lup indicate that this may most probably be due to a condition called aphthous ulcer.
There is ulcer formation in oral cavity, the exact cause is not known hence the treatment too is empirical. Consult your Doctor for an actual examination to get a confirmed diagnosis and get treated accordingly.
Also request for blood tests for STD and the timing as per the duration from an actual sexual encounter.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. T Chandrakant,
