Is It Possible To Lead A Normal Life Having Discontinued Serenata Or Trapex Taken For Depression?
I am depressed due to my family background and my environment also.I was taken to a ppsychiatrist and I had to take lot of medicines for 7 years.medicines are a rip, serenata, trapex, triniclum plus.now I want to stop taking the medicines .I want to get married in future .my question is will I led a normal life without this medicines?
Since you say that you feel low because of your family environment, you may be having a problem in coping with situations in the right manner. If this is the only reason that makes you feel like that, then only medications is unlikely to help you out. The primary cause of the problem will have to be addressed. These include non-pharmacological treatments like coping skills training, with a detailed family assessment where your family will need to participate as well. Regarding stopping medicines, only a doctor who examines you in person would be able to advise that. If it is decided by the doctor to stop medicines then you can definitely lead a normal life.
Hope this helps, Dr A Rao
