Is It Possible To Tear ACL After Its Reconstruction?
I had ACL reconstruction surgery on July 3rd... Yesterday I stepped really hard and felt my knee shift laterally.... I stayed standing and felt no pain.... however I do wonder if I could have re-torn it.... is it possible to tear an acl graft and not feel it?
It is quite possible to have ACL re -tear and specially after 3 months when graft is quite weak. I would suggest you to visit your operating surgeon and get your self clinical examined. If there is any such injury you would feel instability, difficulty in walking and if there is any doubt then it can be confirmed by MRI of the knee joint. AS you said you have not felt any sudden movement or sound then it is a good sign because it suggest that every thing is ok. I would still suggest you to show it to your operating surgeon though.
