Is It Safe For A 4 Years Old To Swim After Having Fever?

My four year old awakened last night with a fever of 102. The fever hasn t returned today, but she wants to swim in our above ground pool and it s 90 degrees outside. I don t think it s a good idea but others say it will help keep the temp down. Who s right?

Hi...it can bring the temperature down I agree but the fatigue of the swimming can cause the fever to shoot up again. I suggest not to swim as there is a chance that fever can recur again whether she swims or not, but swimming might increase her fatigue.
