Is It Safe For Me To Take Creatine Monohydrate, Fish Oil, Multivitamins, And L-carnitine Supplements While Having G6PD Deficiency?

HI i have g6pd deficiency and currently i am 25 year old. I am workout 6 days a week weight training and cardio i am already taking whey isolate protien however now i wanna add creatine monohydrate,fish oil tablets ,multivitamin tablets and L- carnitine supplements in my diet can i do that? i mean am i safe to take it? Will be waiting for the answer! Thankyou.

Hi,

Generally, the products elaborated by you have no hemolytic effects in G6PD deficient persons. However, the effect of these products may vary person to person and some may be more prone to specific products, where as others may not. However, you should always consult your health care provider in this regard. If in doubt, always start with a very low dose and you may increase the dose gradually, if there is no untoward effect with low doses.
