Hello. Thank you for writing to us
Finasteride has no interaction with the medication prescribed by your doctor for Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder/ ADD).
Therefore you may safely take finasteride along with your other medication for ADD.
Even though both finasteride and amphetamine +
dextroamphetamine (the composition of adderall) are metobolized by hepatic enzymatic pathways but these are distinct and there is no interaction between the two pathways.
Finasteride and
minoxidil are approved remedies for androgenetic
alopecia in males.
While minoxidil is a non-specific hair growth promoter, finasteride on the other hand is specific inhibitor of the enzyme responsible for converting
Testosterone to Dihydrotestosterone/ DHT in hair follicle; DHT is the main culprit responsible for follicular miniaturization and hair loss in androgenetic alopecia.
Therefore, both of these when used together give far better results as compared to when minoxidil is used alone.
Finasteride is a prescription product and therefore I suggest that you talk to your doctor for the needful.
