Is It Safe To Do Abortion?
my lmp is 25th nov 2010. i was taking danogen (400 mg) per day along with other medicines. medicine i have taken from 8 jan 2011 to 17 jan 2011. now my question is doctor advice me to get the child aborted because there are many adverse effects of danogen taken during pregnancy. child may have some kinds of disabilities. so i want to ask my abortion will be how much safe. i have one issue already (through sigarion 5 years back.

You can and have to undergo termination of pregnancy.
As per WHO recommendations, pregnancy can be effectively and safely terminated by medicines - Mifepristone and Misoprostol up to 9 weeks of gestation. However, these medicines should be taken only by Gynaecologists advice and prescription. After the last dose of Misoprostol, the abortion process starts within 24 hours. It is advisable to confirm the completeness of abortion by ultrasonography. If products of conception are seen in the uterine cavity indicating incomplete abortion, the abortion has to be completed by surgical evacuation.
If these medicines fail, the abortion has to be performed by surgical procedure.

Yes you have to abort the baby as you took danogen. Dnogen has antiandrogenic effect and decrease the FSH and LH that lead to developmental defect in the pregnancy.
Yes abortion in your case is safe as pregnancy is less than 9 week.
But it should be done under the advice and supervision of gynecologist after confirming intrauterine pregnancy by USG scan.
According to method, 600 mg mifepristone should be followed by misoprostol 800 ug vaginally after 48 hour. Do not use this pill at home as it cause serious complication and risk of failure of abortion.
Post abortion USG should be done to confirm complete process of abortion.
