My husband melted a bowl in the oven a couple weeks ago. I was baking a cake & noticed a plastic like odor coming from the oven. My husband thought there might be plastic residue on the oven floor so he wiped it down & the residue seems gone & so does the odor. I put the cake back in & let it finish baking- is it safe to eat though?
Hi, No you should noteat it,It can cause food poisoning or stomach flu.Any unnatural odor from the edibles can be a indicator of possible contamination. So its not a good idea to try a possibly contaminated product knowingly,And putting yourself at risk of food poisoning and gastroenteritis.
