Is It Safe To Have Coveram And Atorvastatin Together?
Wondering if combination of Coveram 5/5 and Atorvastatin 40mg is sensible. I believe that these tablests are counteractive with the statin potentially increasing BP, contributing to stroke and heart attack whilst bringing colesterol down to dangerously low levels. What is a minimum safe level of cholesterol in the system. Regards
Thanks for contacting HCM You are concerned about taking Coveram 5/5 together with atorvastatin. There is no drug to drug interaction between the medications.
Atrovostatin is a medication for lowering cholesterol. Coveram 5/5 is a combination of perindopril and indapamide. These medications are used for blood pressure control and will not interfere with the atorvastatin.
