Is It Safe To Have MT Pill And Misoprostol?
Hi there. I am a practising doctor in a rural area and need to give advise to a woman who has missed her period by 4 days and is showing a positive pregnancy test. She will be travelling and would rather have MT Pill and Misoprost. Please could you advise? Thanks.

Is the patient having regular cycles? If yes, first an USG should be done to confirm intrauterine pregnancy. If the size of the fetus is less than 49 days, she can be given MTpill and misoprostol. She should be advised that she might have heavy bleeding and abdominal cramps. In case of very heavy flow, she might have to undergo a D and C. Oterwise prescribing those drugs is Ok.
