Is It Safe To Have Tricinod For High BP?

My husband is 38 ...he is been suffering wid high bp since two yrs...earlier he was on aten 25 ...but since august he is been subscribed to tricinod...he is 5 10 and weghs 93....he is also diaognised wid cholestrol....so he is prescribed to tonact every nite....is tricinod a power high to aten 25...? Will he have to take this mecidine fr life tym?

Antihypertensives are changed to another class if patient was not responding on drug of one class.
Tricinod is not a higher power than aten 25 but just belongs to a different group of drugs. I think your husband's BP was not being controlled by aten. So the drug was changed.
Some lifestyle modifications like exercises regularly, low salt and low fat diet are essential for him. This might reduce the need of antihypertensive drug. If the BP is controlled with this, he may gradually reduce the dose and might not need it for lifetime.
