Is It Safe To Have Rods In Fusion On C-7 T-1 ?

i had surgery on Oct. 15,2011, went in for my check up today and i was told my fusion didn t take and this is surgery number 5 that i had and my dr. wants to go back in and put some screws and a rod in by my last fusion which is on the C-7 T-1 and i refused what happens now will it affect me in the long run

As surgery is not always a permanent cure. it can only help to provide the joint stability by which the pain symptoms can be reduced.

I don't think you will have any major issue if you reject the next surgery to be taken. As whatever could have done, it's done to a good extent.

For now, avoid surgery and try doing hot water fermentation and simple exercises which helps improve the muscle strength and stability of the cervical spine. Gentle kneading massage if you have too much muscle spasms.

You can take the help of a physiotherapist and see if you get some good results to avoid the surgery.
