Is It Safe To Have Sex While Having UTI Symptoms?

I want to have sex with my husband, but I have mild UTI symptoms. Made an appointment with my doctor in the morning so I can give the urine sample and pick up antibiotics if it is an actual UTI. Not experiencing any pain, even during using the restroom. Is it ok to have sex?

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. If you have signs of urinary infection then better to avoid sex for some days as it can irritate or worsen the condition. Get a urine routine examination. If there is signs of infection then antibiotics might be required. I usually advise antibiotics like norfloxacin empirically and send urine for culture and change antibiotic if necessary after culture report. You can take barley water or cranberry juice which helps to alkalize urine and relieve symptoms like burning and infection. Hope this may help you
Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
