Is It Safe To Indulge In Physical Activity Like Driving After Heart Attack?
My husband (age 80) has had coronary artery disease for years. He has had 6 bypasses and multiple stents and angioplasties. His arteries can no longer hold any more stents. He recently had a heart attack triggered by arrythmia, and was diagnosed with congestive heart failure. He is fatigued all the time, and also has had adult onset diabetes for 20 years. He has high blood pressure as well. Should he be driving?

Your husband seems to have sever cardiac disease with such history of multiple stent and bypass he should have complete bed rest even the age is not supportive for driving, this is what the ideal advise given to all the cardiac patients, still the clinical condition is matter here, if he is physically fit for driving then he can, with the conditions apply, hope this information helps, tale care, have a nice day.
