Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Ive been on Norco [6/day] for 14y.Recent bladder prolapse caused me to use up montly pills 3 days sooner.MD gave me extra prescription for early refill but pharmacist refuses to refill. If I can live 3 days without med. I d be the first one to try to live without them ALL the time. Can pharmacist refuse??? Please help me understand.Thank you.
Hello and thank you for your question. I am not sure why the pharmacist is refusing to fill the prescription if the doctor says it is okay to fill it early. It may be that your insurance is refusing to pay for it early in which case the pharmacist could not fill it. You may need to have your doctor call the pharmacy and talk to them. You will not die from missing norco for 3 days but you will likely have some pretty severe withdrawal symptoms. Good luck to you and thanks for using HCM
