Is It Safe To Smoke After Undergoing LASIK Eye Surgery?
I had my LASIK surgery Friday and since my left was postponed for surgery I was so frustrated. After my LASIK my right eyes feels normal not dry not glary or anything that they say about after the LASIK surgery. I went back to smoking after 2 days. But I wear glasses to protect the smoke coming to my eyes. Is it okay for me to smoke since after my surgery I feel very normal?
It is better to avoid smoking. when they have post pond the surgery, must be there is reason for it. You should not be hurried for surgery. lest there may be complication. discuss these problem with the refrctivesurgery operation doing surgeon controll your excitement.
As per the theory it is not recorded to avoid smoking after Lasik. However the tissue healing would be delayed if you smoke. The oxygen will not reach the tissues properly. Carbon monoxide is harmful after any surgery. So doctors do advice to avoid smoke after any surgery.
I personally suggest you to quit smoking due to strict regulations and major health hazard to you and the society.
