Is It Safe To Smoke Weed On The Night Before Meniscus Reconstruction Surgery?
I smoke weed everyday to help with insomnia. Im getting meniscus reconstruction surgery tomorrow morning and i am scared beyond belief and i know for a fact that i will have insane anxiety while trying to get myself to bed tonight. will smoking weed tonight put myself in danger in terms of my procedure tomorrow?
varies with individuals. Some people have seizures on marijuana; some people have elevated blood pressure (monitored during surgery); some people have loss of touch with reality and some have asthma from it. In all of these cases the effect peaks while the drug is in the system and is noticeable. If someone doesn't have health problems from marijuana, then it is unlikely to develop first time right before the surgery and it is quite a stretch to say problems will develop AFTER IT IS MOSTLY OUT OF THE SYSTEM. Psychological dependence issues can be there and cravings, anxiety attacks about not having marijuana, etc. occur when not having marijuana in the system. Some people make bad decisions based upon these cravings.
