Is It Safe To Switch Contraceptives From Diane-35 To Althea Pills?
hi, me and my gf havent tried to take a check up on whether what pills she should use. we only use diane -35 as our emergency contraceptive. as usual we ran out of diane 35 . she has taken only 3 pills after the deed and havent taken any pills for 9 hrs the next day. we tried buying a diane 35 but only gotten althea pills. is it okay to shift to that pill or should i still find a diane
Diana-35 is a regular contraceptive pill, it contains Cyproterone and Ethinyl Estradiol. Your partner has to take the contraceptive pills as instructed in the leaflet or health care provider. They can continue taking Althea pills as it contains Cyproterone and Ethinyl Estradiol in the same proportion.
No worries, both the pills are equally effective. Both Diana and Althea are regular contraceptive pills. Both have the same efficacy provided they are taken as instructed. Emergency CP is taken within 72 hours of unprotected sex to prevent pregnancy.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
