thank you. how safe is it to take apo-clindamycin and azithromycin together? i have been prescribed these medications due to 3 months of thick mucous coughing which has recentlybeen diagnosed and (treated with cortosteroids and steroids), as asthma and now this more recent discovery of bacteria in my sputum has added these 2 antibiotics (above) to the list of medications. 3 months ago i had a week of intravenous antibiotics in hospital , followed by oral antibiotics for an abcess and diverticulitis. i am extremely susceptible to diverticulitis attacks approx 7-8 already, and have experienced strong reactions to antibiotics with diarrhoea and constipation many many times. i am unsure of continuing down this track as i am afraid of my gut s response. i only began the app-clindamycin 2 days ago and while i at present can t speak with my respiratory specialist ( it being weekend) about my fears and to ask questions about what the bug actually is, am i carrying a bug that i can infect my grandchildren with?
