Is It Safe To Take Clindamycin After Taking A Course Of Amoxicillin For A Tooth Abscess?
I have a tooth abscess that isn t getting better with amoxicillin. I just took my last pill and I also have a prescription called clindamycin that I got yesterday and I wanted to know if it was safe to take the clindamycin after just taking amoxicillin
Amoxicillin may be safer than clindamycin and it can be used as antibiotic prophylaxis. For mild infections, Clindamycin and Amoxicillin is not combined but in case of abscess, Clindamycin should be combined with another antibiotic.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
