Is It Safe To Take Elavil And Adderall Together?

I have been taking 25mg elavil, adderall 70mg/day, 3mg klonopin, 60mg propranolol, androgel 40mg, genotropin .3mg, arimidex 1mg, and 650mg aspirin per day. My psychiatrist has increased the elavil to 100mg at night. Should I get a second opinion? It seems that there is a serious risk when combining elavil and adderall?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

You can consider a second opinion if you are concerned.

Elavil can interaction with the dextroamphetamine aspect of the adderall, increasing its effects. In addition both medications can increase serotonin levels which can also sometimes be associated with problems.

You may need to consider another drug option.

I hope this helps
